The God Of Peace

Isaiah 48:22: There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.

Romans 15:33: Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

1 Corinthians 14:33a: For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace,

There will never be peace among nations or individuals until and unless God gives it. Men hopelessly and foolishly seek peace by trying to negotiate with governments and individuals who are controlled by Satan. It is foolish for any nation to make treaties with non-Christian nations, especially if there is no way to verify the promises of the non-Christian nation. It is also foolish for a Christian to compromise with a non-Christian politician. For a nation to try to make peace between two non-Christian nations is also foolish. It is counter-productive to provide aid to both sides.

America has violated so many Biblical principles in recent years that it is amazing she still exists. We desperately need to get back to God and His wisdom and peace. While God has not given us the exact same promises He gave His people Israel, we can learn something of His nature from His promises to Israel. He will not deal with His present day people less honorably than He did with those in the past.

Leviticus 26:3, 6a: If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; 6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid:

Romans 5:1: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Philippians 4:7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
